This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow quickly, gain broad technical experience, and contribute to our mission to deliver projects with forward-thinking solutions.
Under the supervision of the Principal Engineer/Owner, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the structural analysis, design, and detailing of building structures comprised of light-frame wood construction, mass timber, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry
Assisting with documentation of existing building structures during observational site visits
Development of reports, documentation, calculation packages, etc. as required to support project work
Development of Construction Documents using Autodesk Revit
Execution of assigned tasks in a supporting role to the Principal Engineer/Owner
Providing construction administration services, which include shop drawing/submittal review, RFI review, and periodic observational site visits
Other related duties, as needed
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering is preferred but not required)
EIT certification, with desire to obtain licensure as a Professional Engineer
Prior internship, capstone, or project experience in a professional environment is preferred but not required
Working knowledge of software suites such as: Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and commonly used structural analysis/design packages (Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Structural System, ETABS, etc.) is preferred but not required
Working knowledge of Python programming language and relevant libraries is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment to support the needs of our customers
Excellent organizational habits and ability to juggle simultaneous projects
Familiarity with applicable building codes and material design specifications/standards is preferred but not required
Desire to grow within the evolving framework of a small practice

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering is preferred but not required)
EIT certification, with desire to obtain licensure as a Professional Engineer, or PE license
Relevant structural engineering work experience in a professional environment
Working knowledge of software suites such as: Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and commonly used structural analysis/design packages (Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Structural System, ETABS, etc.) is preferred but not required

Active enrollment in ABET accredited BS or MS program in civil engineering or structural engineering
Active participant in student competition teams such as steel bridge or concrete canoe is preferred
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in structural engineering
Working knowledge of software suites such as: Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, and Bluebeam Revu is preferred but not required
Working knowledge of, or ability and willingness to learn Python programming language and relevant libraries
